Born in the Czech Republic into a family of chefs, Otta was steeped in fine cuisine from his earliest days. Otta travelled to Canada to pursue his passion for food and hospitality. Working his way up in some of the finest establishments in Western Canada including Sooke Harbour House in Victoria, Araxi, Il Caminetto in Whistler, and Five Sails at Pan Pacific in Vancouver, Otta moved to the culinary capital of Canada to pursue his passion and lay the foundations for his own restaurant vision. With an impressive resume from Nota Bene, L’Unita and Wildfire Steakhouse, Otta and Jeremy came together to create L’Avenue. Their shared value of the highest quality seasonal and local ingredients inspired them to take classical elements of French cuisine and present them in a fresher, lighter and healthier way. With daily variation of the menu to showcase the best and freshest ingredients available at the time, as well as a consistent offering of local favourites like Chicken Cordon Bleu, French Onion Soup and Beef Bourgignon, L’Avenue promises to be a memorable dining experience.
